Universal Service Funds

The following incumbent local exchange telecommunications carriers (ILECs) and competitive eligible telecommunications carriers (ETCs) within West Virginia, have filed verified statements demonstrating that they use universal service support "only for the provision, maintenance and upgrading of facilities for which the support is intended," consistent with Section 254(e) of the Telecommunications Act of 1996.

On July 10, 2007, the FCC issued Public Notice DA 07-3088, "Deadline for Annual Lifeline Verification Surveys," requiring eligible telecommunications carriers (ETCs) in a state with its own state-based Low-Income program to :submit a certification, signed by an officer of the company to USAC by August 31, 2007, and on August 31 of each subsequent year thereafter, attesting that the ETC has complied with the state verification procedures." The following telecommunications carriers have filed the lifeline verification compliance certifications.
